Click image to view GalleryA new one for the Congo Blue team! This time our friends at Haymarket asked us to provide a demonstration kitchen area for the Scottish Good Food, so laden with cookers and worktops we trekked to Glasgow for our mini adventure.
Our aim was to build a kitchen area where chefs could demonstrate recipes to a wide audience. In addition, we were asked to provide a large backstage area with food preparation areas to include running water, fridges and freezers and gas cookers.
A basic ground-support rig was built from our stock of Litec truss to surround the area and to provide a basis for the rigging of P.A and lights. Our stock of generic conference lights were used to provide front illumination. Tannoy V12’s were used for vocal reproduction and our Sennheiser Radio mics enabled the chefs to describe their recipes. Large mirrors were also mounted on the truss above the demonstration area, providing a simple viewing solution for the public to see the intricacies of the chefs’ preparations.
Congo Blue provided all the equipment including sinks, cookers, running water, gas supplies and extensive amounts of set panels as well as all the technical kit including lighting and sound. We also provided all the crew, production management and operators for the whole event.
