Animal Fashion Show

Click image to view GalleryCongo Blue Design were approached by extreme sports clothing company Animal to design and build a small catwalk at the Pier Café on the end of Bournemouth Pier. This was for the launch of their Spring/Summer 2008 clothing range for VIP guests.
With the whole production taking place in a single day, designed a simple catwalk that would be easy to build while still looking sharp and stylish. A revolve was used half way down the catwalk with two pods either side added from CBD’s stock of mini revolves and grill decks. These meant the models could stand to one side (and pose) while a high-powered fan blasted them from below, or slowly revolved them on our mini turntables!
The back panel of the set was created with a large format print of the Animal logo.
The location meant there was a limited power supply, so for lighting we used our house stock of Source 4 Parnels and Profiles to light the catwalk, with six additional Coemar Prowashes to add effect and up light the backwall. These had to be placed on stage due to restrictions of space and rigging points. Sound was provided by our GAE system.
All pre-production, designs and crew were provided by Congo Blue Design, whilst Rah Productions provided a stunning catwalk show and the introduction!
