Click image to view GalleryI don’t know what I had taken just before I designed this one, but it must have been strong! Understandably, our client always wants something totally different to display their cutting edge fashion.
The design we came up with used a raked stage counter pointed by a slopping truss structure, which in turn supported a giant sloping rear wall constructed from aluminium truss and translucent polycarbonate panels.
The stage even concealed a trap door for that old theatrical magic of ‘pulling a model from a suitcase’ a.k.a. ‘ bunny from a hat!’
The lighting was subtle but intense, using a pair of our City Colours to back light and silhouette shapes on the set; the edges of the entrance were lined with our new LED colour bricks and each of the cotton roof swags were individually coloured with the narrow beams of Source Fours fitted with scrollers. We also added half a dozen moving head spots to stir into the creativity!
As ever, a complete package by Congo Blue included the sound and video elements. The video worked especially well using a pair of 2500 lumens projectors to add the individual fashion brands to the set. A great show leaving us with just one problem… how to beat that next year!
