Nine years might be described as a prison sentence, but for us its a real compliment! Congo Blue Design has been providing our particular brand of high quality Feature Stages at the Clotheshow Live Exhibition for nearly a decade.
The design of this year's Hair & Beauty stage was required to be clean and simple, utilising the creative content used in the show literature. The stage back drop was constructed from large format prints stretched over multiple timber frames; these were then fronted with a giant archway feature that created a real focal point.
Technically, Andy had a lot to keep him busy, simultaneously operating half a dozen radio mics through a mix wizard; controlling 24 Source 4 Pars and 18 LED Ultrabright Pars from a Pearl; mixing two high quality cameras though a vision mixer and an Octoplus seamless switcher; minding two show computer Powerpoints, two DVD’s AND a pair of CD’s! No mean feat, when all Rich had to do was point one of the cameras at pretty girls!
In the usual manner, Congo Blue provided all elements of the technical production, even contracting NEC Rigging, Electrical Mains and shell Scheme for the back stage area.
