Click image to view GalleryThe centre-piece of the set for this Spring’s show was a series of four, 4 metre high rotating doors designed by Congo Blue Design. Each door was powered by a Robe Stage Banner spinners – enabling accurate control of the rotation. One side of each door was finished in white Foamex, while the other side was covered with mirrored Plexiglass.
This allowed the programming of multiple states to provide a different look for each scene, with each door opening separately or continually rotating. The mirrored sides also made for some interesting lighting effects.
The catwalk was built from our standard 2 x 1m Prolyte Staging, with a 3 metre revolve attached to the end. Behind the rotating doors, pleated white draps were hung, creating a central entrance for the models. These were lit using our stock of LED Colour Bricks and LED Ultra Bright Pars. Source 4 Pars were used to light from the front, with further effects provided by our six Robe 250 spots.
Sound was reproduced using our stock of GAE Speakers combined with our new stock of QSC amp racks.
All the crew, accommodation and production management was provided by Congo Blue Design.
