Click image to view GalleryAfter successfully winning back the contract for the National Wedding Show, we were commissioned to create three presentation spaces, including a new, larger Catwalk and a brand new feature, the ‘Brides White Zone’.
The new catwalk was finished in black leather set panels with brushed aluminium branding. The Stage fascias were also covered in black leather and with a thick black carpet, the catwalk had a luxurious ‘high end’ feel to it. In fact one viewer commented it looked like the inside of a BMW - which we think was meant as a complement!
The lighting grid covered the entire stage and at over 18m long it gave us the opportunity to light the catwalk properly. This was important as part of the brief was to help the stills photographer to get good results – something that seems to have been achieved.
We also deployed two of our new 50” plasma screens to provide designer credits and an 8 box GAE audio system was more than adequate for the 2000 eager audience!
The second area we provided was the Wedding Theatre. This multi-functional stage, hosted fashion make-overs by the Clotheshow’s Caryn Franklin and her team, together with other inspirational sessions on wedding planning by Kate Smallwood from Wedding magazine.
The 25 square metre stage was finished with white dance floor vinyl and white leather set Panels. A custom printed roller blind was used to brand each different type of show, with additional information provided by a pair of 42” plasma screens.
The newly established Brides White Zone, was a location provided for interviews of top wedding dress designers. We supplied a round stage flanked by 8 circular podiums, each used to display mannequins dressed with the designer’s work. The area was finished with appropriate branding and a four box HK audio system.
