Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition Spring 08
Harrogate International Centre, February 2008
This year’s show concept was a little different. Instead of a traditional Catwalk show, a 1940’s themed ‘panorama’ was conceived, where the models could pose for a time allowing the garments to be properly admired thus giving the show a more intimate and stylish feel.
The set consisted of two large custom designed staircases curving from a top central entrance. Behind the curved staircases and below the top entrance, two hidden doorways were constructed to offer maximum flexibility for the choreography. The whole set was finished in white giving a clean blank canvas for the clothing to be displayed.
The lighting design was simple but provided a stylish feel. The whole stage was colour washed with two City Colours, and six of our Coemar Prowashes. A white pleated drape on the back-wall was lit with a mixture of our LED Colour Bricks and LED Ultra Bright Pars. In a number of scenes, the Prowashes back-lit the models as they posed on the staircases. Minimal white lighting from the front was provided by our standard stock of Source 4 Pars. Sound reproduction was provided by our stock of GAE speakers.
Congo Blue Design provided all the designs, production management and crew for the show.
