Looking to step up the production value of the Moda Clothing fashion shows, we suggested using our new Low resolution LED Screen as the entire Stage Set for the event, so the complete visual picture of the stage was a fully controllable video wall. This enabled us to set the scene for each part of the show by choosing video content to match the style, colours and tempo of each segment. This was not an easy job, but well worth the effort put in by Andy and Paul from RAH, when they spent a pre-production day in our warehouse with a sample section of the wall!

The lighting designed by Rich Parkes was superbly complementary to the screen and its content, not competing for attention, but supportive of the show as a whole. Rich chose to use a range of LED and Discharge based lamps in his design, including our LED Ultrabright Pars and Moving head Robe Colour spots..

The catwalk was simplicity in itself, with a satin black dance floor vinyl covering and black leathergrain padded facias to the side. Another feature was our wrap-over canopy, using sections of our truss circles to bring down the edges of the flown lighting canopy. The addition of the black drapes had the double benefit of lowering the ambient light level and containing sound spillage from the neighbouring exhibition stands.

The only negative comment was “ how are you going to beat that next season!”
