A fashion show to launch the opening of a fashion-orientated Mall in Bolton is right up our street! We were asked by the Mall owners to help them to stage a contemporary event within this newly opened mall, avoiding the usual ‘shopping centre’ cheese. It was our job to design and build a stage that was clean and sophisticated to reflect the feel of the new venue.
As an island site, we had to provide a fully enclosed dressing room as well as the catwalk. This consisted of black leather-covered set panels and a stage covered with a black dance floor, with hard facias and a smart aluminium trim to finish. Lighting was a simple white wash to give a lift to the products, with effects coming from 8 of our LED battens bolted vertically to the outer edge of the stage set and the inside of the stage entrance.
A full PA and a pair of 42” plasma screens, mounted in portrait, finished our involvement. There was a pretty full schedule to the event, including fashion tips demo's, heath & fitness workshops as well as a gala evening complete with look-alikes and an electric string quartet!
