Classic Motor Show 2010

Click image to view Gallery Congo Blue has built something of a reputation for the construction of strong stages and with an equally strong relationship with Clarion Events, we were invited to build a feature stage for the Classic Motor Show capable of handling cars up to 2 tons.

Classic low riders were able to drive straight onto the stage with its 4.8m long car ramps. Re-using old style garage signs, alongside the new sponsors graphics, gave the stage a nice feel. A tab track curtain system enabled work to continue in the backstage area whilst game shows were played out front and a hydraulic lift was installed into the stage, to allow mechanic Ed China to work on his project car live on stage.

Congo Blue's technical support for the feature stage included a full sound system with radio mics, open white and LED Par lighting, Plasma screens and even a wireless Head Cam for relaying the view ‘under the bonnet’ to the watching visitors.
