Click image to view Gallery September 2010 was Congo Blue Design's busiest month ever, with additional projects such as this catwalk build, commissioned by Bellville Sassoon for a corporate race day at Ascot.
The brief was simply to keep it simple! With a stunning collection of evening wear and cocktail dresses, the catwalk needed only to be a platform - enabling the clothing to speak for itself.
Liaising with Ascot's management team, CBD designed and fitted a catwalk and set that enabled space for racegoers to watch the show and pass through the venue. The catwalk was finished with a clean white carpeted stage and matching vinyl set panels, up-lit with sunstrip battens and front lit with fresnels and profiles.
Congo Blue also provided sound (with the music soundtrack to the client's specification), communications and a back stage video relay. Also as part of the service, CBD branded the stage with cut vinyl lettering.
